Smiddy House in Spean Bridge
Smiddy House is a characterful Highland dwelling tastefully decorated and furnished with warm individually styled rooms offering a friendly service in a stunning part of Scotland. Located in the village of Spean Bridge Smiddy house has 4 ensuite rooms in the main house and a self contained cottage within the grounds of Smiddy House that sleeps 4 people. We are also licenced so guests can enjoy a drink and relax in the guest lounge with table service.
Spean Bridge is nestled at the southern end of the Great Glen providing stunning views of mountains like Ben Nevis and Aonach Mor. Leannachan Forest offers extensive walking and cycling trails.
Spean Bridge village has a convenient choice of places to eat and shop.
Smiddy House is the ideal base for exploring the Highlands and is conveniently situated on the main bus and train routes, including travel to Fort William, Glasgow, Inverness, Skye, London and Mallaig.
We are only a short drive from the Great Glen way and provide a transfer service to and from Gairlochy and Laggan.
We also cater for Cyclists! we have a bike wash area and a safe place to store your bike. There are lots of cycle routes for all abilities in the area.

Rooms
We offer a range of accommodation, from our self contained Old Smiddy cottage suite to our doubles. We have 5 rooms in total, 4 on the first floor of Smiddy house and The Old Smiddy, a self-contained cottage suite at the rear of the house. All rooms are individually decorated, have flat screen TV’s, complimentary Wi-Fi, tea and coffee making facilities, Scottish toiletries, hair dryer, linens and towels.
Check-in is between 3.30 and 7.00 pm.
Breakfast is served between 8.00am-9.00am for rooms in the main house. A breakfast hamper is provided in The Old Smiddy cottage.
Check out is at 10am.

Spend the day climbing Ben Nevis or walking through the Glen’s at Glen Nevis, Loch Arkaig. The Old Smiddy- Was originally the Blacksmiths workshop, now converted into a lovely cosy self contained cottage that sleeps 4 persons.
